Ya..trying to shake up MDZ....but i guess i am feeling lethargic and tired and thats why sleepy..due to lack of any activity !! evrytime i think of starting excercise....i think ok later !!
donno Feyza....but yes, i am feeling a bit tensed inside....as i cudnt stick to my plan..and am lagging so much..i have to get my dream score....
i still hope i will catch up and do it in the time left !!
Anyway....i finished Cardiology now.....listened to the lectures....the Arrythmias are always difficult for me !! did that very huriedly..as no point in staring at the book..am thinking of doing the qs of cardio from UW...hope that will help me.
Now, back to studies..GN Friends..and GL

hey hir....hope everything is going well.... did u finish first read ??
hi simi ....how are u ? long time....do visit more frequently....i dont have any dvds.....i downloaded 5 files for cardio lecture from net..and heard them only. didnt listen to surgery.....hope it wud help u.
i started 45 qs of cardio yesterday last night....in tutor mode...but cudnt finish them....but i doing ok with the first few. will complete it today. i had done 45 qs of OBG in the mornning ysterday but it not good ..... .....all those next step in Mx....i made mistakes..its not that i dont know......but still it confused me .... it seems i have to read the books soon.
yesterday it was not a productive day at all.....renovation going on in our house.....and i kept on going there.
so much to do.....i am panicking at times....
i am doing hematology today. after that i will finish GIT ( few pages are left) and try to do Emergency medicine .
May today be a fruitful day for all of us.

i did one block of cardio so far..got 62 % correct only ....at a point all the qs were getting wrong !! i have to study and study a lot !!
i am very upset ..know why .. two very good friends of mine did not match yesterday..inspite of good scores and USCE....and one person whom i do not know that way with similar score matched !! i dont get it....one friend had 96 and 97....still did not match !! this is soo horrible !!
i donno what is there in future....only i can trust in GOD and have faith in Him .. Please show me the right path God ..

hi mydream ..good that u have started UW....n 62% is good actually....i was also preoccupied with match results yesterday....one person i know matched...still 20 pages left in surgical specialities then i will be done with surgery...i din't find surgery lectures very useful....i listen to them when ever i get bored....thought of finishing surgery today...lets see...good luck .

as long as you ask god for help he's going to help you with no doupt, but he's helping you in the way he knows is good for you not with what you think is good for you....[ what great words I'm saying ].....
so you just do what you can do, and you're doing great actually ...hope I can get the same score when I start UW

sorry about the friends I hear score is surely necessary but doesnt mean everything ... thats is a nice hope for me but if only I knew what the other is I stopped reading the match forum bc it brings my face down
lets not lose hope and study as best as we can hun !

Thats so true dear nany....i shud stop worrying about whats going to happen in future..and shud utilise the present. already wasted last few days....partly de-motivated after this result and partly as i am getting distracted due to a reason. u all must be thinking....whats the problem....she keeps on losing focus every now and then....actually its true....i have lost my concentrating ability for a long time....and that ws the reason i cud not score higher in step 1. and i repeated this again. i dont know how i will manage it in one more month.
i do not try enough....is it the reason ?? and i think that circumstances are responsible !! No..its me who is guilty !!

i am doing UW now....will start with surgery qs. i was having pain in my right wrist since past few days and at one point it became so painful..that i hardly cud type. i made a diagnosis myself - ganglion of right wrist- but decided go to ortho surgeon.......yes, it is Ganglion of my right cyst indeed....he prescribed analgesics..and said if it gets bigger and painful, it might require surgical excision .. ....since i had similar problem in my tenth standard.
i searched thru the net and collected lot of info....everywhere it says, this develops due to overuse of a particular joint..what overuse ?? typing and mouse-clicking ?? might be....coz i didnt type much in last few days and the pain ws resolving. but now i need to put a crape bandage and cant type for few days....i pray to God that it resolves completely with this treatment..
i will try to revise as much as possible....and then update when it gets better.
May u all study hard....and me too !! take care all....

hi dear MD, oh my god, wot happened to you!!!!!!!i ll pray for you that u get better with treatment n dont have to go for surgery or atleast till exam.
my preparation is going on ok, now me too want to go for UW but can u tell me is that really necessary to buy the subscription or downloaded version will do for practise??????? plz give me ur opinion
so, hw much u r scoring in UW????/// u have already started it with a very good score so dont worry at all, i have too taken the slot of apr-june, but not decided when to take exam

Hey hir....nice to see you the swelling is still there, have put on crape bandage.
about the offline version....as far as i hv heard from a frnd..the qs are solved there.... so i took the online subscription, as i dint like the idea of just reading the answers . but if you have qs and answers separately, then u can try. but i feel , atleast UW shud be done online, as it gives the feel of real exam and also the advantage of revising wrong qs,marked ones etc.
i have taken for 2 mnths..but 2 wks passed by..didnt do much. i cant express really..whats going on with me..one after another problem..next 3 days i wont have access to my pc as renovation is going on in our house,and from tomorrow,in my room.
after i do few more blocks i wil tell you how i am doing..now only 200qs are done.
i am really scared abt the date of my exam as there are so much distractions..but i cant postpone it..am in a CATCH 22 situation....will tell you later.

regarding your question about Nephrology lectures, yes they're very very good, and if you have time for them watch them, the lecturer is very organized and explains every thing in a very good manner that makes you in no need to reread the chapter,

Hi, Mydream!! Hey, why so down? I've just read a few of these last posts in your journal, and it doesn't sound like you at all. Honey, tide over rough waters, and then the going will be smooth. The MD [see, it's already in your name!!] I know and admire is the one who gets tough when the going gets tough. She's the one who's there for everyone exactly when she's needed. So, don't worry, this is our turn to reciprocate. We're here for you, you're certainly not alone. If you're frustrated with your prep currently, just flip through whichever review book you're using [FA/Crush/Secrets], some flash cards. Clicking can always be done with left hand, and no one can tell the difference whether you typed with both handsor one! In fact, each morning, I type all my posts with my right hand, coz I have my sandwich in my left hand. Anyway, I should stop this tangential line of thought, and just let you know that I'm here if you need me. Let the house get renovated, your focus is on CK. No amount of paint smell, no level of noise can distract you away from your goal.
Stay on course, hun. PM me if you need.

all good bad part of daily life routine
i do understand ur situation as i had lots of breaks too in my prep and lagging behind plan coz of my medical issues,i had severe cervicalgia,wsnt able even to get up from bed myself as severe spasm in my neck and shoulder,before that ui was struggling with my runny nose,poor sleep and severe ear aches,yeah yeah i sound fitting criteria for sever combind immune deficiency disease,u wont believe the extensive medical check up i was goin thru,startin with labs,CTS,derma and rheumatoid appointments,then physiotherapy,then whole night sleep study ,yeah polysomnogrpahy i can write whole article on it,and now facing another serious medical problems,so far mini surgery and biopsy done right after my exam day on 27 ,i was always having feeling of drowning and gasping foer air coz usually day of my doc visist and physiotherapy day almost wasted and coz of sleep problem i usually dragging myself for studying in day,sometime even sleeping on my books or dozing on laptop,em not here to cry and seeking sympathy or sorry feelings for me,but to say we are like all human beings though goin thru more stresses than others,but we should be proud of our efforts at end,as they wont be washed away,we will be successful,so let the journey movs on slow pace or fast ,watever but it should not be stopped anyway

It is a hard journey for every one. You should be proud that you already put step 1 behind. And in one month, you will feel relieved because you will be done with CK. Someone in this forum has a nice phrase: if we could not change the things happening around us, at least we can change the way we think about it. So maybe change your mindset a little bit, be proud of yourself in pursuing this hard path, be confident that you will succeed, and be happy when you grasp a single knowledge every now and then, I believe you will conquer this test and be a big winner.

Friends........i am grateful to all of you..i am feeling so overwhelmed seeing you all in my journal , supporting me....Thanks you dear nany, hir, paheli, dr ruman, njcjzy, veroni and Feyza..
I connected my PC and came online after 4 days....and tears came in my eyes seeing ur posts. i ws worried last few days as i wsnt able to do UW. then i thought of completing the theory....i read IM and Paeds....nephro,pulmonology,neuro and eye etc are left. lot though.
i ws also telling myself....since i wont be able to change the situation..i must utilise everybit of it. and all these renovations....are being done for me. i will share the reason with u all after a few days
My parents and me lived in one room all these days..everything being dumped at one place....my room is still empty..apart from the pc. i wil start with UW from today again.
though have only a month left with many parts left to cover..and then revision....with all your support and best wishes....and with the trust of my dearest ones....i will do it....

I hv stopped thinking abt my wrist....though my mom dad are very worried...its not abt typing in one hand....thing is, its not resolving.. the cyst is just there ..and paining..doctor asked me to avoid dorsiflexion movement....donno when this is going to resolve.
anyway....no time to worry abt this .. i will do some qs now....Thanks a lot again my friends i wish good luck to u all
