Q.1. d.Hyperthermia
Q.2. c.An increase in heart rate caused by direct cardiac action >> the normal reflex action of bradycardia by Nor epi thru the baroreceptor reflex will be countered by Atropine blocking the vagal response of baroreceptors. Thus producing Tachycardia. One should also remember that a large dose of Atropine itself produces tachycardia by blocking the M2 receptors at heart.

#1 - d - Hyperthermia

#2 - c - increased HR by direct cardiac action. (increased HR via M2 antagonism in heart by atropine, and increased HR via beta-1 receptors in heart by norepinephrine)

.1.dnod
Choices b,d,e , all are possible effects of Atropine group. In small children however the most dangerous effect is however HYPERTHERMIA.Deaths in excess of 42oC have occurred after use of atropine containing eye drops in children.

.2.cnod
Atropine will prevent the normal reflex bradycardia, since that requires the integrity of vagal path, way.Direct effact of NE on the sinus node will be unmasked!

Also,TACHY with a dose of Atropine itself is due to SANS predominance on the SA Node.(Atropine being a blocker will have zero efficacy)
