Hi ,
To all mom. Let me introduce myself, i finished my MD in dermatology in2002, then got married & now after 5years of my marriage ,i am a mother of 2 beautiful kids with full time housewife job . Responsibities ,that's the only thing in my life now. Since last 4 years i am blaming my kids and husband for not being able to prepare for my exams. actually i am hiding behind my excuses. No more blames and excuses, i am determind this time, no matter what come in future , i am gonna do this.

I am happy that till now i am on track, finished 6 sections of physiology from kaplan with questions within 6days. Tomarrow i am going to start resp. system , its a lenghthy section and very imp. i might spend 2 days on it.

Thanks Aashi, i need lots of good luck ,i know this path gonna be difficult but you cannot achieve anything in your life without sacrifing something in your life, in my case i am sacrifing my dearest thing-sleep.
I am half way through 1st chapter of lung mechanics, i am going to watch all the chapters in this section today &gonna read tommarow.

Hi ASAP,
I am rereading Physio from tomorrow on, I don't remember much from first read...altough it took me a month. I hope to do as good as you, in a week.

Iam about to finish lung's video lecture. Today was a very slow day with lots of distractions and headache but instead of lying down on bed , i took tynlol and 15 minutes rest on couch . Now a days i am keeping myself away from my bedroom & familyroom. I hope by tomarrow i will be able to finish lung and from tuesday i am going to read endo.
Iam writing down imp. points while reading and take a quick look everyday before going to bed and before starting new topic , that's how i am trying to retain most of imp. points , i know the whole process is time consuming but i am sure in a long run it gonna be very useful.
My parents used to say that revision and practice is the key of every success.

Yes, you are right, it is tough to study with kids but ofcourse NOT impossible. Many moms have done it before us and so can we.
How is Physio going ? I am reading Histology today. I am reading Kaplan. Do you think I should read HY too or only Kaplan is enough ?

Thank god, everything going in right direction this time, my studies, emotional issues ,family, kids . Till now i am on track, did renal physiology today, only thing left is acid- base balance &endo. by sat. i will be able to finish physio.

Dear Journal,
Last 2days were really dificult, my both kids are sick, i dont't know what happen to my dog ,he is being vomiting all over the house ,took him to the vet,they took the x-rays,didn't find anything, he is on antibiotics right now, little bit. better.
today i took my both kids to the doctor for cold and cough, seems like my whole house is on antibiotics, my daughter got diarrhoea because of that. Even in this situation i was trying to be strong ,but my husband keep on discouraging me, he is just keep saying that i can't do this.
Idon't know what to do, since last 5 years he is blaming me that i don't have a courage to give usmle & now i am determined to give this exam ,he still have problemwith this.
Even though i newer ask for his help, i cook 3 meals everyday, breakfast,lunch' dinner, do laundry ,iron everyone's clothes ,take care of my 2 kids &1 pet, help my son with his H.W., i try to keep my house always clean, after these daily chore i try to study atleast 3-4 hours.
AND he is busy golfing around , atleast 3days a week, sometime i think why i am doing this, but whenever i look in my kids eyes iget answer, i don't want set a failure mom example in front of them, that's the only thing which drive me towards my goal.
Ihope everything gonna be fine after my step1. Iwill be much more independent.

Thanks Tetra , for stopping by and you people support .
Iam so happy today, finally i finished my physiology, it took me 11 days but its ok, i known right now i am walking by the speed of turtle but in the end every step of my walk gonna count.
I reward myself with french pedicure. May god bless us all and help us to reach our goal with confidence and determination.

WOW!!!! Physiology in 11 days !!!!! and you call it a turtle speed  . You are really doing great with so mcuh stuff to take care of , I mean kids, husband, pet and all the household chores. It is simply amazing.
Keep up the good work. May God help us all to achieve our goals.

I started my day today with molecular biology, did 1st 3 chapters, i think i am going to take 10days not more than that if i wanna appear in sept. ,i don't have much time. May god give me some strength so that i won't fall inbetween.
Now i am going to revise some stuff &25 q from q bank. Good night.

first of all i wanna thank youfor your kind words & support. You are lucky atleast you have husband who support you on every step, not everyone is lucky like you, i am thinking going back to my parents place so that i can achieve my goals, i wanna work hard till my last breath, i worked hard so much to get my medical degree, i always wanna be a dermatologist for whole my life & now i know to live my dream i have to take this step.
Under lots of stress , only read chap.4 of molecular biology.

Finally pack up my all stuff and ready to move on, i think i will be able to start my prep. after settling down to my parents place in INDIA.Today i didn't touch any book, feeling very free and happy, the only problem is i can't stay there more than 6 months, so i have to give this exam within this duration. Going to work hard & leave everything on God, i don't know why but i am not afraid of this exam anymore.good for me.
tomarrow i am going to start chap.5 of molecular biology, trying to spend some more time with kids, they are growing up really fast, my daughter gonna be 2years old on monday, she loves to sing all the time, bought 4 mickey mouse dvd's today for her , i know she gonna be busy during journey.

I am back, 4 days without any studies, i won't be able to compensate this lost time in my timetable, need to work hard more.

Done enyme chap., not able to finish molecular bio. chap.
yesterday i started goljan pathology, i can't believe pathology can be so interesting, i used to think that pathology is the boring subject ,lot of memorization.
May be its the way of teaching that made this subject interesting,i really like this guy.Now my biggest fear is over. Completed cell injury & inflammation.
Todays agenda, mol. bio. chap. 5, hormone, vit. & pathology.
