HI EVERY one!

I am starting this new thread for prematches being accepted for 2008 match

Scores

No of Interviews

USCE

VISA req

Hospital and city..

thankswink

As there're only 10 days to go before prematch is ended, I personally think it wont help much. Also, some of the hospitals ask the contractors to seal their mouth.

It's beneficial for the coming 2009 applicants though. smiling face

Is there a deadline to withdraw from the Match??

  #4

It varies, but no later than Jan-31 as a final deadline.

  #5

Scores 247/261/218

No of Interviews 15

USCE 2 Months observership at CCF

VISA req H1

Hospital and city.. St Agnes Hospital,Baltimore

People are shy to share the names of their prematch hospitals. We didnt beg them to give us a position we earned it,so why to be scared of not letting the names out I dont know..???Or I am trying to be too brave since like many I have signed only the letter of intent.

Just looked it up. NRMP site says:

Independent applicants may withdraw from the Matching Program, but only if the NRMP receives their withdrawal request prior to the rank order list certification deadline (Feb. 27) through the Match Site Withdrawal screen for the Matching Program.

True, thats the deadline for applicants to withdraw. However keep in mind that programs have to submit their final quota for the match by Jan 31. It only follows that most programs will want to have wrapped up the whole prematch thing by then.

  #13

ur right jazmil.......a pd told me that since they giv their quota on 31st...i hav till 29th to decide..so now.......i guess 'pre-match' for 2008 is pretty much over and done with......i hope i dont live to regret refusing one b4 and abt to refuse one now........no easy answers....
