Hi -I'm waiting for the result of CS
It is scheduled between 30th Jan-20th Feb
As per the info available on this site-it appears that usually most of the results are declared on very first day of scheduled period(In my case it will be 30th Jan) -Is it correct?
Secondly at what time(US Eastern Coastal) generally the results are uploaded to Oasis account?
Pls help-this waiting is sucking me since 8 weeks !

yes, most results are updated the very first day and they are usually reported at about 9 or 10 AM Eastern Time...

Hi, I am waiting for my results too, the report date is 30th jan 08, i tried to register thru oasis and it allowed me to register, I am worried now. can any one tell me more about the oasis trick.

the oasis trick is of no use now as all the results are available online as soon as oasis is updated. it was used in the past when the resutls were posted by mail and then while waiting for the postman if u could register for the exam, it would mean u have failed and if u couldnt then u have passed.

TRY THE FOLLOWING TRICK ALSO
Visit your oasis account==>go to CS exam schedule permit==> try to get its print out ==>If it doesn't exists ,it means your result is expected in this week.
Most of the people ,those are not able to print out permit are not able to fill the CS form and following message appears:
Our records indicate that you are already registered for this Step or Step Component. You may not apply for a Step or Step Component if you are already registered for that Step or Step Component. If you fail or do not complete a Step or Step Component, you may submit another application for this exam, but certain time limits apply when retaking a Step or Step Component. For complete information, refer to Reexamination and Reapplication in the ECFMG Information Booklet and Retakes in the USMLE Bulletin of Information.

As per my info, the CS permit link vanishes as soon as your eligibility period expires.

Last time on 5th Dec it started at 10:15 am itself.....this time it is delayed.........but expect it anytime..............if not today then next week !

I passed; Got my result at 12.00 EST. Took my exam on 30th Nov,2007
I had tried oasis trick. It had let me register for CS.
The information on ECFMG website is still stated current as of 29th Jan, 2008.
So keep aside all the rumors.
Just be patient and wait. You will all do fine.

yahoooooooooo!!!! i also just received the result and i passed first attempt. I thought i was going to fail because i was sure i did a lot of mistakes dung the exam and i reviewed only for a week because i was too busy following up my visa before coming here in the US. I took the exam on Dec. 20 in Los Angeles. im so glad im through with it. I was one of the two IMG's who took the exam there. it was really nerve wracking. I only read First Aid and Kaplan notes for CS and read and memorized intensively the digitaldoc. it helped me a lot most especially with the counselling part. and guys, its better to type it than to handwrite the patient note. i wrote the patient note and my handwriting was a mess so take my advice. he he he. and always smile guys upon entering and before leaving the room. say clearly the name of the patient and always show some compassion. answer everything they're asking eventhough you don't know the answer. on the physical exam, handwasing before doing it and during the handwashing, always talk to them by asking their work or anything you missed during the history taking but look at them while talking.just review the ways on doing the PE at digitaldoc. then after that, always tell them if they have any questions. then if there's time, do the counselling. before leaving, smile and say thank you. feel free guys to ask some questions.
