It is accumulation of fluid in pericardial space leading to compromised haemodynamics Caused by post MI (dresslers synd) , Infections( viral, bact) , trauma , Cl. feat - tachycardia, tachypnoea, diminised heart sounds, pericardial rub, distended neck veins....

agree... also...if chronic accumulation...almost no problem. even with 1 litre.. if acute like Dressler's only 150ml accum and u dead
