Hi. I have a problem. My current I-94 is about to expire. I already filed an extension a month ago, but now the processing takes 3 months. Now I'm thinking of just going home and wait for the match there. My entry visa has already expired so I can't go back using that visa. I have heard that extension, even if it's legal, and even if it is approved, can create a lot of problems when applying for J1 or H1B visa. How true is this? I am done with all my interviews and will go through the match. How hard will it be to join the scramble, in case I don't get matched, if I am outside the US?
