A teenager presented with complaints of vomiting, nausea and severe headache .she is accompanied by grand ma ,who discloses that she is her guardian/caretaker since 2 months ,which was appointed by govt. child support organisation .Her mother was a chronic cocaine abuser .Grandma says that the girl had a fight/argument with her over her mother's abandonment . The girl is able to tell about her symptoms but deny any problem/fight with grandma . On examination everything is unremarkable .what is the diagnosis: 1. separation anxiety disorder 2. adjustment disorder 3. somatization disordeer 4.conversion disorder 5.dissociative fugue expl and differentiate .

Sounds like an adjustment disorder to me.(only2 months)* She not in the age group for separation anxiety Doesnt have multiple complaints for somatization She knows her identity-fugue The only one that is close is conversion (she had a stressor but its been 2 months and Id think of more neurological impairment)
