Belated Happy BDAY! so we are cancerian buddies
I am glad that ppl visiting my journal are liking the pics i post here..I havent dreamt of a 99,and may be coz of that I havent lost my cool even when i know that the deadline is approachin, my only aim is to prepare well, and pass with a decent score ( anything above 90) which i can be proud of, give a pat on my back and say alright Ash you deserved that score...I dont think UW scores are a good correlation for step1 scores, coz i scored high in UW even in step 2 ck and I managed to get a 95.

From today the prep takes a different turn, I will be mixing diff relevant subjects together, correlate and study them together, + FA alongside
So for Today-------------> Starting Endocrine( PHYSIO), Endocrine( Goljan RR ), Endocrine(Pharmac) + Endo FA
Since I am doing this mix and match for the first time in my prep, I might go slow today, I shld pick up speed within next few days, will combine and learn 2-3 systems in one go.
Hope to master ENDOCRINOLOGY by the end of today...

hey aashi.......nice pics of eyes u get........
and by the way m doin the same thing....mixin of all subjcts...
i did that 4 cardio and git...i got bored and i thot i was ignorin behavioral too much
so started with that.......
since this is my second attempt to step 1 it gets a lil difficult 4 me to keep consistent...
i keep gettin flashbacks of my previous attempt..i hope i do well this time insha allah
thats the reason i keep visitin ur journal to get some motivation!
good luck with ur prep and by the way howz ur son doin???

hi Ashi, thanks for dropping by in my journal. i think you will do great, to me 95 and 99 is not much different, so your ck score was really great, anyway, its my opinion. and i agree about putting some pressure, that makes you stressed. After making the routine, hourly, i feel pressure, and i know if i am in stress, i cant learn. but anyway, have to learn it anyway. you are doing very systematic way, i hope you have fun with endocrine.

Really Cool site with Pics. When mind blew up from studies or you sit on ur desktop with some mind to study-- pics here really a great break .
Apart from that , you are doing really great in terms of Prep.I wish to study so fast.
Points/ Concepts just keep evaporating from my mind like bubbles. I have to look back again and again. I don't know where this will end.

Usmledreams, Sorry to hear that you didnt make it in your first attempt,Ones best success comes after their greatest disappointments.I am sure you will rock this exam the second time...GL dear
AD, I was 16 weeks pregnant when i gave my step2, with all that obnoxious first trimester symptoms, there were days i cudnt say things aloud for memorization, coz of fear of getting bloated followed by morning sickness, coz my one whole day will be then wasted coz of fatigue post morning sickness..so the 95 I scored in step2 CK, is a 99.99999 for me..I was just telling u that UW scores is not a gd correlator when it comes to usmle scores..GL with your prep buddy
Dr 123, that happens to everyone, It happens to me often, I just go back and revise those concepts , do some questions, trust me, when you make the silliest of qs wrong, , the answer they give as an explanation wil stick in your hippocampus forever...so do UW + revise subjects that you did every 2 weeks, so that you wont have a recall problem and everything doesnt appear to be dejavu..GL with your prep Dr 123!

Found a great review material for Patho, pharmac and MIcro, when I was searching for review material on the net...This is an excellent review material and I am planning to go through it few days before the exam..
I am attaching the document with this msg, Guys it is in excel sheet, so make sure you have microsoft office, before downloading it...and yes do let me know your reviews!

Will relax today...a family outing and when I come back , I am going to compare the review notes on pathology( the attachment above) with goljan RR and will add the extra points from goljan into the review notes..I dont think there is too much to add, coz the review material does cover a lot for path..

The file has review notes for micro, patho, genetics , psychiatry and pharmac...its an excel file,it is just one file , but has many pages arranged in rows at the bottom of the page,as if you are turning the pages of a book, you might have just opened the bugs page..go back chk the file once again..
