i got my results and sadly i have failed my step1.i took more than a year without any job to prepair for this exam but still i couldnt clear it.wt should i do now?im also working now and i cant quit my job.is it possible to clear it for the 2nd time?is there anyone out there who unfortunately liked me had failed his exam and got cleared in 2nd attempt?i'll be really greatfull if someone with my situation share their experience with me and how they managed 2nd time with their study and job if they were doing.feeling very depressed at the moment.

hello there!
i understand how u feel becos my failed result for step 2ck just came thru.I also wrote in the forum hoping for some guidance and motivation but people run after those who score well and to ask them tips on passing.They don't have time or courtesy to reply.Anyways don't get disheartened.Stand up again and do more and more Qs.Take nbme one after the other(forms1,2 and 3) with atleast 1mnth apart.I had done form 1 and 2 only for step1.scored 420 and 490 resp.
so start again,do Qs first and then do a quick reading of kaplan books,then take nbme and take it from there.Good luck,believe in urself.sometimes things happen to some people like us.But we have to get up and keep going.NO one can help u except yourself.

its really sad to fail step 1 specially if u preparing so long,but in other sense its kind of mercy in desguise coz ther r people who pass wid very narrow margin and cant hav oppurtunity to improve their marks,but thre are lots of example which i personally seen that people even got 99 in 2nd attempt,so its never to lose hope or heart,Allah is thre to help us
so i have suggestion there are few peple in step 1 thread facing same situation,wat u can do join them in step 1 forum,support forum,and u wil find lots of support and guidance thre,my very determined and nice frnds dorada,seembh,shoreh ,cleopetra in step 1 forum,facing same,em just quoting their names as u can ask them,and they are really in nice high spirit,

thanxs for the replies..but i still can not find that courage or motivation to start my self again.every time i goes near to those books again it makes me very sad and reminds me all of that time and hard work i put into the preperation which makes me feel real sad.i have lost confidence in myself and i feel very afraid that wt if i failed again? wt will be my future? wt r any other options? im soo scared.i dunno wt to do how to get out of this mouring?how to build my confidence?im working as well now so it reduces my study timings too.before that i dedicated my all time to my studies and i still couldnt make it.how im gona do it this time with all this senario?

i know the pain ,as whos experinecing knows better,but take it like this as an exam givin u oppurtunity to improve,looke for ur weakness and strike even better,its not end of life plz
there are so many worse things goin on in world which r far miserable and unrectifiable,people can just regret or say oh LORD Y MEEEE,but helpless,but u r lucky,God Forbid u r not in dat bad situation that u lose ur confidence,life is full of such things,i even gave up coz of my mom illness and cud not get admission in medical college i even decide not to study anymo,life was piece of shee.........t for me
but not,my mom gave me courage ,even my frnds left me behind,just 2 mon b4 exam i started again ,look up at my weak points,did lots of question and got admission in top most college of my country,thre r lots of exampl
so dont touch kaplan or books if u dont want,try a different strategy,start from questions ,they wil give u benefit of analysis of urself and do do do explanation alongwid question it will cover all things u missed,after finishing lets say kaplan or i suggest UW,just from point of view of learning ,like reading a story book that u have to narrate to ur friends later .
do system wise ,solve question ,read explanation,dont make notes,read first aid or kaplan,in kaplan just read u need to read ,i mean neuroanatomy,path,physio
and micro,pharma,biochem,genetics,behavorial all FIRST AID,but DONT FORGET to do kaplan questionand answer at end of text,specially pharma first two chapters with charts and graphs and practice question,u can go to thread,i have sumarized my very sincere view,if u trust have a look,best luck
