Dear Anujaise thank you first...you can do kaplan Q bank(especially oby/gyn ,cardiology & neurology) try to do it timed so,you can predict your situation as far as time mangment concerning in your real exam..NMS is o.k do lots of questions as many as you can the best way to increase your final score, rapid review of step1 because you may have some questions that you only answer them by aid of step 1 knowledge...you will have some physiophatology qestions..I got about 6-10 kind of questions. review kaplan notes one more time...after all you do ,take NBME ...usmle cds are also good predict ,score above 80% in usmle cds can be almost assuring for score 90+ Good luck.

mechanisem of edema in cardiac failure, senseation deficit (like defiect in b12 or tabes dorsalis ,polio...exact level and locarion) , immunology questions ,neurology MRI or CT scan picture(you should find exact location of injurey (neuroanathomy)for example ,after diagnosis of disease ,click on hyphophysis or hypothalamus ) so I recommend take a queick look at neuroanatomy pictures ,lesion brachial plexus in upper limb or something like it(I couldnot remember which trunk of plexus was injured in my case !!!) , errors of metabolism like glycogen storage disease or whatever...they all what I remember. best wishes.

my preparation time was about 7 months with some breaks between, 1-I took a diagnostic test in kaplan center to clear my weak points, thery were surgery and oby/gyn.. 2-first round of reading kaplan notes with watching videos and Q book. 3 -I got 3 month usmle word after and do questions in timed ,unused and subject wised.I made myself well prepared before going through questions .I took notes of UW ,sometimes I wrote questions to make sure I have enough for review next to the exam.I enjoyed it a lot.2 months for the first round and 1 month for reviwing questions ,second time I only studied questions and explanatins and correct errors of my notes .4 big note books were used without even one line blank.. 4-I began second time of reading from kaplan notes with more concentration on points that UW liked . 5-I do NMS questions as well and took Q bank for 1 month be4 exam...I only did some parts of it but I enjoyed especially cardi, neuro ,surgery and oby/gyn ...Q bank draws you attention on points that you have never even seen them on your books (while thery are blinking at you !!!!)... 6-close to exam ,I reviewd for the last time kaplan notes(very quick),my notes from UW and Q bank ,quick review of step 1 (first aid and for neuroanatomy only kaplan notes especially injuries to spinal cord and brain stem !!!) all of them took only 8-10 days be4 exam ...meanwhile I did one block of Q bank every day to keep myself in good shape . I did not NBME but used questions posted in this forum... for the exam ,memorizing the subjects is nessesary but not enough,in real exam they want you to know anything in deep,I have a few questions about one disease but from diffrent points of view like mysteny Grave ...in one block about treatment ,another bolck mechanisem and the other bolck complications ??? I posted my scores in differnt sections of my preparations in this forum ,hope to work for you too . http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/12074/14/ put your stress on prevention medicine ,it is difficult and confusing ,I did not do good job in this field I had about 8-10 questions ...for me all were vague... good luck.
