I emailed a PD several days ago and wrote that thay are ar the top of my list! PD emailed me as: I will call you in several days to see if you have any further questions.

I kept worrying since then! What do you guys guess? Is he gonna call me and simply ask me if I have any questions?!

If I were you, I would probably ask him if they offer prematch.

I know that at this point in time, we want to grab every ray of hope and find meaning in words, it does not mean anything to me.

programs offering prematches have already offered it by now.. or have decided whom to offer... I have few friends in prematch ofering programs in NYC, Chicago, PA and MA,,, and it seems 3 -4 positions have already been offered and accepted in each one of them... and St Barnabas in NYC has offered all but 2 in prematch..

There is no harm in writing an email, showing interest and asking a premactj.. i dont think you have anything to lose.. if they offer prematches, they wont mind.

why everybody thinks about prematch? Can't it be just a sign of interest for match?
It is not overinterpreting! I don't like prematch idea at all! I'm sure PD does call for a reason, he doesn't do it for nothing!! Anyway...Thanks for the help and guesses.
Good luck for the match.

Why aren't you interested in prematch if it is your top choice? I generally favor match because it gave me a chance to compete for my best program. However, if that program offered me a prematch, I would have taken it within a heart's beat. I don't see any reason why not to.

yes salaan you are right. But this program doesn't offer prematch. Afterall I think the program needs to offer it not the applicant to ask for? Don't you think so? Because when we say they are at the top so they can offer it if they want...
