for asym... patient..... give immunoglobulins to the patient at the time of diagnosis...at 0, second after 1 month and last after 6 months. patient shud also be given active immunisation of hepatitis B, again at 0, 1 and 6 months. and yes give both of them on the very same day same time but at 2 different places. plz tell me if something extra to be done for a symptomatic hepatitis B

i forgot do give the same therapy to the child......starting from the day of birth. 0,1,6

Why wod u give the mom IVIG? and u dont give her the vaccine, she is already HBs+

asympto HBsAG+..follow with complete hepatitis panel and liver enzyme.. acute hepatitis most recover conservetive management... transplacental trnamision very less..perinatal transmission prevented by active and passive vaccination to neonate, no forceps ,electrodes..breast feeding after passive vaccination
