A lady is needing emergency surgery for which she might need blood transfusion...she is willing for the surgery but does not want to be transfused if needed as she is a Jehovah's Witness. What does the surgeon do?
A. Call her next of kin and ask them to convince her to allow boold tansfusion.
B. Go ahead with the surgery as she has consented to but do not transfuse as per her wishes even if required.
C. Go ahead with surgery and transfuse blood if needed to save her life.
D. Do not take up her case and refer her to another surgeon.

If any one could help me out here with the right option....ive come across this situation many times but never remember what is the right option to go for.
Thanks.
