In performing the lung exam: 1-What is the exact exposure? down to where do we pull the gown down? 2-What position should the SP be in? 3- Do we proceed with inspection, palapation, percussion and auscultation, doing them in the ant. chest then post. chest one after the other? or do we do them all in the ant. chest and then repeat them all in the post.chest?

ya ,u can do that.Basically expose howmuchever required for ur exam. But if u meant that pt holds gown with elbows, then how will u do lung exam in axillary region and lateral chest.I think it will be a bit difficult.(By waist i meant just upto the costal margin.
