osteopetrosis :arrow: thick sclerotic bones due to dec osteoclastic activity,bones are brittle,and fracture easily.
osteoporosis :arrow: osteopenia resulting in thin,fragile bones,easily susceptible to fractures,normal serum Ca,PO4 and alkaline phosphatase,X-ray shows generalized radiolucency of bone.
osteopenia :arrow: dec amount of normal bone formation
paget disease :arrow: excessive osteoclastic activity followed by disorganized osteoblastic activity,leading to mosaic pattern of thick but weak bones.labs show elevated serum alkaline phosphatase and urinary hydroxyproline levels.
