i finished reading GI kapna yesterday n started with emergency med.
then went out with frss so wake up soooo late today!
I hope today will finish infectious

thanks all of u for ur support! It's great to hear all the encouraging words.
well yesterday I studies with a frd, and except for HIv finished the rest of the Infectious disease section of kaplan.
Today I woke up late  .went to bed abt 2am yesterday ! couldn't sleep, mozquitoes, hot weather..ufff!
I know I'm slow..and should be doing more per day..esp now that I have three weeks of no hospital!
We will start with OB/G today and the target is to finish it in a week. I guess that is enough time.

I'm planning to apply for the 09 match.
yesterday I started late 4pm! but well did till chp 6 OB/G kaplan. today lets c how far I go.
haven't started yet with UW...

Ok todays updates..f..1)inished reading OB part of Kaplan.
2)also read the last part of emergency med kaplan.
what is tomorows target..?
FA OB, Secrets OB, rest of kaplan Gyn.
and qns...don't know if ill have enough time, but intercalating qns with reading is help ful.
Also, a sweet partner is helpfull too!!

today was totally unproductive. did only secrets OB. lets c if I can do 2 chpts of GYN kaplan..
Why can't I focus!!!?? Studying for step 2 is quite different than step 1. I don't feel that adrenaline anymore. I feel..like..ok, yes, it will be done, relax..
But that attitude is not going to take me anywhere!!!

Ok, what did I do today..
Neoplasia, breast and reproductive endocrinology chp from Kaplan. half a block of qns, and that's it. was ok..
It is not even near to the hrs I dedicated to Step 1...But well, may I'm getting older?

Hi, I'm back. well I "finished" OB/G, started with peads this monday and plan to finish by next wednesday. have done a couple of chapters so far.
my preparation is too relaxed. I give myself too much time! I also some household responsabilities... but that is a bad excuse!
I can't explain why, but I feel tired all the day...
Hope things go right, and I move faster !!

it was long since someone droped by my diary! Today the same old story, my prep is sooo non focused. I permit myself things that I shouldn't. all I have are 6 weeks berofe my exam, and the next week is the only free week I'll have. I'll have to go to the hospital again during feb till my exam. which takes away a lot of time. And I'm still not working hard enough.
God, help me to help myself!

Ok, I have almost finished OB/G peads n psy first reading from kaplan. I wanted my first reading to include FA, but FA is too boring, i just can't sit n read it.
I also did some qns, performance was around 55-60% I know, not good. but ok, for a first reading..am i being too good to myself? allowing myself to get that scores n be OK with it!!?
what is left to complete this first reading? (1)FA Peds n (2)Psy FA (3) secrets Peds (4) undergroung clinical Vignetts for the three.
before I move on to a different subject i should review these three. so this weeks, that's what i'll do. By the end od this week, I'll have completed reading what is left and done more qns so as to review these subjects.
inputs and advices are welcome!

I'm using UW. I scored 73% on a mixed block with ob/g peds and psy. what do u think of it? I know i still have to study a lot...I know that I know nothing!
I've started to doubt the degree of difficulty the UW has! Well, ok, it is the best source of qns, and my score is not good...
any one out there to give some words of wisdom? and motivation?

2.44 X UW + 70 =real score
came across this in another forum...
check score thread...usually 70 n above in uw means 99 for sure....

today I read some of the psychiatry vignetts, UCV s really good if u got bored of reading the same stuff and want things in clinical case format. otherwise kaplan is just enough. abt the stats part of kaplan, i never understood it, and it seems like I never will

Hey uba08...try kaplan DVDs for Psychiatry.....,
they'll make you understand every single word in the book....,
they are really really important for Psychiatry and Epidemiology parts
