1.Can vital signs be checked only per one hour? How to get the patient update after every step?
2. How to order Amox for 7 days? ---- I typed in Amox, Routine, Continuous -- I am not sure how to type in for 7 days..
3. Also, in CCS USMLE CD Case 1, whatever I do, the tension pneumothorax patient is still complaining pain of 4/10...Should we have to make him pain free?

4/10 pain in first case: I am not sure pain should go away completely and right away. Pleura and peritoneum are shockogenic zones, so even light trigger causes pain...

Hey my friend,
I have plenty of interesting stuff to share with you. I'll send you PM with some ideas.
I am just reading Step Up to Medicine, Kaplan step 3 notes, etc... I postponed serious practice of CCS cases till the last 2 mo of my prep.

well I kept giving Advil and my patient kept being grateful. Yeah I didnt know how to work o BP monitiring as his Systolic was in the 80's so I put him on continous cardiac monitoring in the ICU. Didnt get a chance to get him out of there.

I am attacking CCS now. So I will be reading UW and deciding what the management plan shud be. Also have FA 100 mini cases.

Let me know if you would be interested in doing quick run throughs

Hi Guys,

How can I order Mini mental status exam ro rule out dementia? or is enough if I order neuro exam, the system is going to give me the score of my patient immediately?

What is the meaning of family counseling, living will?

Thanks, I am gonna take my exam in 2 weeks...

a living will is what the patient has determined he would like his treatment to be in case he is decisionally incapacitated. It is now recommended to ask about this in all hospitalized patients.
