In case of chronic a. flutter shown on EKG and the patient is stable what do you do?
Vagal maneuvers or Verapamil?

Verapamil

Calcium channel blocker or beta blocker are the best choice

Carotid massage can release embolus therefore it is not used widely

Atrial flutter chronic and stable----->t/t-->give beta blockers or CCB, and if unstable—--->DC cardioversion

Vagal maneuvers helps in the DIAGNOSIS, by revealing flutter waves by slowing the ventricular rate..
