hi starmoon
i gave step3 in july 2007. i studied UW stp 3q bank. i revised stp2ck UW Q bank. then gave nbme. after that i revised stp2ck kaplan books only in weak areas (as per nbme ) and those I felt are important.
I gave stp2ck in Dec 2006. so i was comfortable with kap stp2ck books. i did not read stp3 kap books due to lack of time , though i had those books.
above all, daily 1-2 hrs of CCS prep.

In step 3 nbme my score was 520.
i do not remember exact uw score now. probabaly it was in & around 60.

did u put 6 months of effort for step 3 n could u plzz tell me if u did kaplan q book and does tht really help

not 6 months of effort. that was the time between my stp2ck and stp 3.
I could only do very little in feb/march( like i revised uw stp2ck q bank) as i was doing observership from 8 to 5. I would say i studied seriously from april/may and gave the exam on july 9th & 10th.
i did not do kap q book , but as many number of q ' as possible is always better.
