hiii friends,
i am new here...just came to know about this site 3 days back...i wish i new abt you guys long bak . i took my step 1 on 27 dec....now i am so upset,i feel i am gonna fail....i can remember about 15 questions wrong.... dont know how many more.....ever since my exam,i am trying to think of exam questions and trying to find answers...and get depressed when they are wrong....i studied kaplan books,uw,FA,brs physiology,some igh yield books for anatomy.... now iam doubting weather to sign up for kaplan course.....or wait for the result...have anybody gone thru same experiance and still passed...iam so afraid,upset...please dear friends help...no one else can understand the situation....everyone just asks how the exam was...i hav no reply for that.i went thru some post which are realy encouraging....thanks for those grt work....god bless u all...good luck for all those who are gonna take exam.

You are gonna be fine and you'll definitely get a good score.
My friends who took the exam had similar experience as yours and all of them have passed.

First of all congratulations on getting it done! Take a break from thinking back and leave it to God. I haven't written the exam yet, but read lots of post with the same feeling as yours and they all got great scores. So...cheer up, buddy, you'll be fine.

i dont know if u would trust me but after step 2 ck i thought i would fail or get very low score and i got a 99. m not writing the details abt my experience here but trust me it happens to everyone and the best (or the worst !) part is that u cant really do much now so be calm and study for the next exam. good luck

Hope you've got better. I took the exam on 28th, one day after you and had similar preparation meterials. I also experienced the same as yours about the wrong Qs. Try to focus on something totally different. Go to a trip if you can and TRUST.

Omg....dcully i totally feel the same way. I took it on the 28th and im having flashbacks of wrong answers as well. Do you have any idea of when scores come out? Hey I wish you the best of luck....Ugh...sleepless nights its really worrying me. I just try and not think about it but it creeps up on me!!!!!

Well guys its creeping up on us. I read on some other forum that ours won't be posted till next wednesday the 26th? Does anyone know how we will know for sure? Do they send and email saying its available or do we just check it out on our own? Man I am completely about to fall apart. All last night I had nightmares that I failed. Im so freaking scared! Anyways I am hoping all of us pass! I hope I see your posts! BEST OF LUCK!

Hey dcully .... I did get my results and unfortunatley  I didn't pass ...i wrote a post on everything in the support part of this forum "I failed twice totally sad"....Hey if you have any advice for me after reading my post It would be much appreciated. Maybe I am missing something ... But hey congrats on you passing the exam...best of luck on step 2. Anyhow Ill be waiting for any suggestions! Thanks again for your prayers....

hey apoptosis,i am sorry for your loss.but,dont loose courage...i take the right to tell u this bcoz i lost my first attempt.
1st attempt i gave a try to see whatexactly this test was..i didnt know anybody taking this exam...didnt know about this forum.just got kaplan 2002 books and prepared at home...got 70%.
failure indeed was hard...was sad for few weeka and then made my maind to fight again...i think anybody who puts in effort god is gonna make it happen for u.i studird kaplan books one more time,then did pretest for all the subject...they whr just ok...did clincal vignettes,again ok.then i did first aid[great],usmle world[excellent]...brs physiology[good].i had heard abt lot more stuff,but i didnt want to spent more than 3-4 months...gave a try again...passed.you should ask the senior members of this forum to help u...i can tellu only this much. if u can pass ur med school,usmle is possible.just one advice dont loose hope & dont stop studying...fight it friend...god will help you.
