An 85 yr old woman comes to the physician because of pelvic pressure and feeling of something coming out of her vagina.
She has a h/o coronary artery disease and is status post a 3 vessel coronary artery bypass graft 10 yrs ago. She has a cerebrovascular accident 2 yrs ago that left her with decreased right sided sensory and motor function. She takes multiple cardiac medications. Examination shows morbid obesity.
Her uterus is noted to have mild to moderate prolapse. Which of the following is most appropriate next step in management?

A) Oral contraceptive pills

B) Hormone replacement therapy

C) Trial of pessary

D) Vaginal hysterectomy

E) Abdominal hysterectomy

i think at this age and so many comorbids,only symptomatic relief must be sought.pessary is the right answer in my opinion.

yes c.. patient is too old with many comorbid conditions so not suitable patient for surgery
