Hi! I'm taking CS last wk of MARCH.I don't know how to start my prep,I have first aid book ,I need help to make a solid study plan.Please advise me.

First aid is very good I also used usmle world these two should be enough if you know them well also remember to practice the cases you should do everything just like the exam for example practice knocking on the door introducing yourself and draping do all this and you should be fine and remember have confidence in yourself

Well as you should already know you get a grade for your english skills so it is very important I do not think there is a time here its when you feel your english is good enough

In the test you will get very few pediatric cases there will almost certainly not be a pediatric patient so you have to write what the mother usually is telling you and write in the patient note that you did not examine the patient

ram3, how did you study those mini cases in the FA? I'm trying to read through and hopefully can remeber most of them. But it seems doesn't work well. I lost concentration after 2 or 3 cases. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

i,m giving exam on 26th jan is it okay if i used only uw i,v only two weeks time is is ok.? can you also give some example of houston cases or tips.

Be positive. Get some experience. Do observation at least. Get strong LoRs. More importantly-focus on your scores.

Hey everyone
Although I have used this forum to post questions for the step 1....I have never posted anything for the step 2. My question is actually about what the cs is all about. I know that kaplan has lecture books and videos for the step 1....but I was wondering if they have any lecture books for the step 2 cs. Also if someone can provide me with other material to use for the cs.

Hello study_study the materials that I found very good for usmle step 2 cs is First Aid and Usmlworld these two together are enough to pass this exam also remember you get graded for your english speaking skills so make sure that is good. Hello drbin the materials to use are first aid and usmleworld and one month is enough time for the usmle step 2 cs to pass

Can you please lit a light on how to use FA and UW in a study period of one month?
I have FA, but no idea on UW.
I don't have enough budget to take 5 days courses.
Your detailed suggestion on 1 month plan with FA and UW will be of great help to me.

i am planning to go for 2009 match. cleared step 1 & planning to give step 2 in june/july. I am planning to give csa in august. Is august too late to give exam and get the result? I think it takes 2-3 months to get the results. so my qoestion is can we start the application procedure ( which starts in sep) without the csa result and can upload the result anytime after we got it?
Another thingI want to know does the apllication without the CSA score affect the application and interview calls?
Any input highly appreciated......
