a 4 year boy is brought by his mother c/o apathy , fatigue and aggressive and he doesnot seem to play with other kids on examination he is found to be pale and other wise healthy with appropriate developmental milestones investigtions show hb -7.2 mg hematocrit- 32, with MCV elevated .mother says that they live near a paint manufacturing unit in their home town it was diagnosed by the physician as lead posioning which is the screeening method of choice for lead poisoning in this age group?
a.free erythrcyte portoporphyrin level
b.blood lead level
c.urinary lead level affter calciun EDTA administration
dfingerstick blood lead
e.xry of metaphysis of long bone to look for lead lines


in the above case which is the treatment of choice if the blood level is 54mg/dl

a.repeat lead level testing after 3 months
b.repeat after 2 months
c.treat with DMSA
d.immediate hospitilization and EDTA + DMSA
