My net is giving me so much problems, couldnt come here whole day! 
I guess it is good for me 
Kids r home, and they r enjoying like crazy!
I just did little bit of bio, today my son taught me how to fast fwd the video, lectures (I know, I am like typical mothers, like I used to handle,remote ctrl or ph for my mom!), lecture becomes very interesting suddenly...Dr.Seaston in the voice of some cartoon hehehe!
Anyways, just take care every one!

@ melu I know ,its so hard in the summer, I am happy and worried, happy bec kids r sooooo happy, and worried bec my turtle speed is turn into a sleepy sick turtle's speed, may be by tomorrow things will be better, my both sons will b going in summer school, lets see...how it will work out!

hello Saima dear,..............hope all's well...enjoy your new laptop ...summers are great with kids...and don't forget they will be kids only once & grow up in blinking of an eye & you are the only mom they've got ...time flies dear so do not regret the colorful funfilled moments you spend with them...They will make better retirement memories for us than this stupid , crazy, outrageous ,ridiculous torture filled adventure called step one

Peace every one,
Hmmmm...... its been few days since I type something here....feel like ages
My kids are going to summer school since three days, and now my real test begins....I am studying...thank God....that frustration is gone, which started with summer! Alhumdolillah!
Now I am studying bio and immuno after this one week break...yes, my time table ruined....but thats OK....I knew that there will be ups and downs!
So I am not in panic!
Alhumdolillah!
BUT.....please guide me, as now when I started bio again, what I am doing....I writing all important points, in separate paper, it is taking tons of time, but the good thing is ,it is helping me in remembering, otherwise....you know....my upper story is completely empty! (always)
So tell me ....sec read bio...what is good...quick read or taking my time!
The problem is that, it is more hard work (any hard work is harder for me )
and it is taking more time, ex:2 hrs and 6 pages kln!!!!
Anyways...
Rest is perfect! alhumdolillah...may we all have compassion for others!

As for bio... i think the 2nd read is better to be fast so that u get the big picture and dont get lost in little things.. i dont know if this is the right way or not but this is the way i did it, my 2nd read was fast... and you will keep seeing these things over and over again through FA and answering Qs...
i wish u the best in studying now that the kids are busy and all  ah and congradulations on the new laptop our dear dr.Samia

Hi saima, Its been a long time, but i do think of u all, all the time, just getting to the computer for any lenght of time is a challenge now that i've temporarily gone back to being a mom full time. I can see that u r back in the groove
For Bio saima if u did a good first reading, then speed up on the 2nd reading because u have yet to do a third and fourth and fifth......... Reading just kidding , but u atleast have to do 3-4 readings so if each of u r readings r going to be like the first u r not going to finish it soon, and my advice would be dont write down the important points from the kaplan lecture notes bcoz almost every point is going to be important and u will be rewriting the whole of the lecture notes. instaed jsut underline them in u r text. Keep u r target as 10 pgs / hr, if u go 1 or 2 pgs under thats fine but 2hrs for 6 pgs is just not going to do it. also Remember saima the more numer of times u read it the better u r going to remember, its the number of times not for how long u read it that is going to help u. just try it and see, At the end of 1 hr and 8-10 pgs if u feel u dont remember anything dont worry u will always have u r next reading to refesh u r memory, but u have to conc when u read, dont read for the sake of reading but do understand what u r reading, i dont think even memorization helps. at the stage we r in. anyway all the important points r in FA which u have to anyway read 4-5 times in the end, so plz dont waste u r time writing. Trust me i've been there and done that, i used to be that way and realized it is not helping me in anyway. The more number of times u read u r material the better u will remember it.
Reption is the key saima for this exam. See, we have very little time at our disposal what with kids and other responsibilities, so what ever time we have we have to make the best use of it,
these r the things that r going to help us for the exam
Kaplan videos, watch during the first reading
Kaplan LN- read atleast 3-4 times the more number of times u read it the better u will remember the material. (writing it down does not help in the long run. instaed become so familiar with u r LN that it feels like u r own notes. becoz almost every point in the LN is important.
UW-if u really want to write, u can write down the educational objectives from UW into a seperate book or into u r FA like i did, and maybe some explanations that u want to remember, do not write everything down u will not have time to review it. write down only that which is absolutely essential. if everything seems essential then dont write it down just read it from where it is.
FA, u have to read this book at least 4-5 times that is a min, it has the most important points the cream of the crop
NBME. keep forms 3,5 ,6 for the end so u can use them to asses u r self, but the othe forms uesp 1,2 u can do to start on the nbmes make sure u do the nbmes atleast twice some of the q's on the nbmes r direct from nbme so u dont want to miss them it might be the q that will get u an above 90 score.
well i think that is enough advice, for now, i hope this helps. and Saima, am praying for u and all my friends here always. Just keep at it . TC
