Hi drsaima, thank you for posting the tips on how to concentrate they will surely come in handy.

I like your inspiration posts, good luck on continuing with physio, I am also going to start with this subject.

I am sure you are very proud of your little ones accomplishment, and he/she will be so proud of her mom when you ace this test!

Good luck and God bless

I was reading your journal... awsome efforts... it seems that you have done your first read, right?

I dont know why I am hungry and sleepy whenever I study raised eyebrow

Any cure...anyonecool

  #33

grinjajjaa, that happened to me too, I am always hungry when I am stuyding, I used to grab a bag of potato chips and coke and cream for the chips, fortunately I know make better choices, I grab water, fruits or raisins or carrots or almonds, I try to have healthy snacks and lots and lots of water to keep me full.

I remember there was this topic a long time ago in the support forum where everybody gave great ideas to tackle this but I can't find the page.

If you are getting sleepy, maybe changing positions, sitting down, standing up, walking in your place, or even reading out loud might help.

Good luck!

What chapter are you reading right now?

So, here is what I have done last week:

Only three chapters of physio... very poor outcome!! very bad......I have to do somthing about it... but whatttt? the thing is I am not getting proper time, whenever I got time until then I became really tired... so ...I just spoke to head of family about it... lets see what tomorrow will bring fo me.

In the mean time... i cant give up, no option for me to give up... no option...zip...zero!

So, uth baandh kamar kia derta hay phir dekh khuda kia kerta hay

smiling face
Day and night I shall swim
In the sweetness – hope – river.
May my mind every morning become
As beautiful as hope – dawn – rays
Peace begins
When expectation ends.
Each sacred hope
Is a blessingful gift
From Heaven’s heart.
Hope abides; therefore I abide.
Countless frustrations have not cowed me.
I am still alive, vibrant with life.
The black cloud will disappear,
The morning sun will appear once again
In all its supernal glory.

Developing time management skills is a journey
that may begin with this Guide, but needs practice and other guidance along the way.

One goal is to help yourself become aware of how you use your time
as one resource in organizing, prioritizing, and succeeding in your studies
in the context of competing activities of friends, work, family, etc.

First: try our exercise in time management

Strategies on using time:

  • Develop blocks of study time
About 50 minutes? How long does it take for you to become restless?
Some learners need more frequent breaks for a variety of reasons
More difficult material may also require more frequent breaks
  • Schedule weekly reviews and updates
  • Prioritize assignments
When studying, get in the habit of beginning with the most difficult subject or task
  • Develop alternative study places free from distractions
    to maximize concentration
  • Got "dead time"?
Think of using time walking, riding, etc. for studying “bits”
  • Review studies and readings just before class
  • Review lecture material immediately after class
(Forgetting is greatest within 24 hours without review)
  • Schedule time for critical course events
    Papers, presentations, tests, etc.

Try the University of Minnesota's Assignment Calculator

Develop criteria for adjusting your schedule
to meet both your academic and non-academic needs

Effective aids:

  • "To Do" list
Write down things you have to do, then decide what to do at the moment, what to schedule for later, what to get someone else to do, and what to put off for a later time period
  • Daily/weekly planner
Write down appointments, classes, and meetings on a chronological log book or chart.
If you are more visual, sketch out your schedule
First thing in the morning, check what's ahead for the day
always go to sleep knowing you're prepared for tomorrow
  • Long term planner
Use a monthly chart so that you can plan ahead.
Long term planners will also serve as a reminder to constructively plan time for yourself

i just saw the god's clinic document you have here....thanks for keeping it here... i mean its incredible.......... i was feeling terrible about something and i stumbled upon this.... just what i needed at this time.... i hope god gives me my peace soon.
and i want you to pray for me.....

    thanks in advance

Thx unique and SOS for stopping by.

I was feeling worst on jan 18th and 19th, bec i wasted a lot of time. It seemed that no one care in the family... I was blaming every one... and just told every one that i am not doing it... was crying, depressed and blaming the whole world about non co operation.

But than Alhumdolillah i recoverd, learned that I am the only one to blame for. Every one is doing whatever they can... i am expacting too much!

So, I went in dars (Quran speech) on sat in masjid, two points of dars to share with u-->Signs of spirituality are Silence, Solitudenand Simplicity.

4 points for home, 1)Home's beauty is in its order,2) homes peace is in contentment 3)home's glory is in being hospitable and4)home's crown is in Godliness (isn't it nice ) so than I cooked whole week's food on sunday. finished the third sec and started the 4th sec on sunday.

Than My pc broke, on sunday... I cried confused , my husband fixed it, finished one lecture, but the remaining lecture video is not there, just this lecture is missed( I dont know how many more r missed) did'nt cry this time, but signed up in kaplan, and now I desperately want latest books and videos...
Than there is this toothache in my sec molar, since satarday, went to dentist today... she reffered me to the specialist.... antibiotics totaly ruined my stomach... throwing up in car rolling eyes

Anyways... I have to complete one and half chapter by tonight.

      #47

Hi, hope your teeth and stomach are better!!!

I can understand how you felt, crying and wanting to throw everything away and giving up, I am happy and glad for you that you have re-started and that you are trying to keep optimistic. Little by little, step by step, you will certainly finish, you are already on the fourth section that is great!!, keep going and focus on the goal, I read that obstacles are those frightening things you see when you get your eyes of your goal, so stay focused. I think your spirituality is helping you a lot too.

See you around...I am about to start the second section in physio, I hope to end physio by February 3rd.

    Good luck!
