CS scheduled for Feb 1st at Houston CS Testing Center. I've officially started my prep today. Suscribed to UW. Will follow FA, as well. That's my material. I've been also preparing for 2CK for the past few months. I'm planning to take 2CK by late March. I'm finding the preparation time for CK very useful for CS as well, and viceversa. Actually, I'll share my time for CK and CS for two more days. Since I've been trying to finish Pediatrics 2nd round reading for CK. I must be finishing with this Peds reading in 2 more days, after which I will dedicate fully to CS. Let's see... 26 days to go...

Practiced 2 cases with a friend of mine. The first practice was terrible! it took me so long to get all questions done! Second practice was much better. I have to learn to focus on main complaint, ask fewer questions, simple words and simple/short questions. Otherwise, I wind up on long/endless sentences giving unnecessary explanations. I must learn a short script of phrases to say. Just to gain time and confidence before the SP. For those who are not English-speaking natives, you must read sample phrases from FA and UW aloud, even if you're alone. And repeat and repeat the questions several times for you to be fluent and improve phonetics. It does help if you don't have an English speaking person to practice with

Practiced 2 more cases w/ a friend. Reading and reading common questions aloud. Trying to practice cases in a timed manner. Now, practicing patients notes on Sample Patient Note Screen from USMLE. Also, trying to time the writing in a 10 min-span. 4 days to go...

Thanks neuroblastoma for the advice. Also, thanks Ivonne for your support always and for your post about your CS experience, which is really helpful!!!! I took the exam on Feb 1st. I got the result today: PASS!!! I can't believe it. I knew I messed up with so many things. But I still passed. The key I guess was to behave proffessionaly and courteously. Always being gentle with the patients... and smiling... Also, tried to follow all procedures in order, but still I forgot to do so many things I would have done had I been given the time to do so
