I think we have to confirm the PAPS smear finding by colposcopy....and if we could see the entire lesion with the transformation zone, we could follow up with repeat PAPS smear in 3-6 months. IF we are not able to see the transfrmation zone, then we should go in for LASER and cryosurgery.

If PAP smear shows LSIL, do a Colposcopy and Biopsy.
Biopsy will show HPV, mild dysplasia or CIN I.

Compare the PAP (Cytology) to the Biopsy (Histology)...
IFcytology is worse than biopsy, then we missed something......SO in this case do a Cone Biopsy.

For LSIL (CIN I), you can do any of the following:
-Repeat Pap in 6-12 months
-Colposcopy and repeat Pap in 12 months
OR
-HPV DNA testing in 12 months

OR you can be more agressive and even use ablative or excisional procedures,
BUT if you choose this option, then you have to follow up repeat pap smears, colposcopy and pap smear ,or HPV DNA testing every 4-6 months for 2 years.
