Hi all,

I have prematch offer from both, please let me know which is better for fellowship.

Thanks.

St Joseph in chicago is a community program like many others. In community set ups we have to have a lot of enthusiasm and energy to find research opportunities. Unlike in Univ programs where research is done by many faculty members, it like having buffet in your hospital,, where as in Community programs you have to go out and search for food!
I would still take St Joseph, for its located in a beautiful place and nice city. It is far better than many community programs in NY!
I have no clue about st agnes!
Also, I noticed you were unmatched last year. Can you please tell me what difference did you make this year to get prematches?

Thanks ea for your response. I tried to get some clinical experience but couldn't find. But i joined as a research volunteer and got a very good LOR, finished my step 3 and got EAD. Good luck!!

hi ANU
I think St Agnes is a better bet than St Joseph. And moreover having a major Research Center and University in your city(John Hopkins) wil definitely help in getting associated with the faculty members. It wil increase ur chances for fellowship. Thats my view though.
Good Luck
