hello usmle prep.

can u tell me do u have all lectures in webprep regarding molecular biology?
i don't have 5,6,7 and i don't know further.
from where did u read this.
only kaplan or using another book? :|

  #3

i also have audio of 1st 4 chapters only.
rest of the chapters u r suppose to read by yourself.
i am using only the kaplan notes.
what we can do is,read those chapters by ourselves and if there is any problem,we can discuss online.
rightnow i am finishing with all the audio lectures in month of april &may, because they provide the audio for only 2 months.

r u going to finish all subjects videos or just only biochemistry.

and if i have and u have any problem we will discuss.

santaclara.

Where are ur questions, man? grin

Ok, here are some easy qs to break the ice.

1) What drugs inhibit prokaryotic Gyrase?
2) What drugs inthibit eukaryotic topoisomerase?

3) What drugs inhibit prokaryotic RNA polymerase?
4) What drugs inhibit eukaryotic RNA polymerase?
5) What drug inhibits both eukaryotic/prokaryotic RNA polymerase?

6) What drugs inhibit initiation?
7) What drugs inhibit peptidyl transferase?
8.) What drugs inhibit translocation?

9) What bacteria bind to 60S ribosome?
10)What bacteria block EF2?

Ok guys, cite my message so that u can juxtapose the answers next to the questions (so that u don't have to type twice grin Sorry for all of this but I try to group everything together in one region of the brain when I study!

1) What drugs inhibit prokaryotic Gyrase? --- quinolones
2) What drugs inthibit eukaryotic topoisomerase? ---etoposide

3) What drugs inhibit prokaryotic RNA polymerase? ---
4) What drugs inhibit eukaryotic RNA polymerase?
5) What drug inhibits both eukaryotic/prokaryotic RNA polymerase?
i think actinomycin D

6) What drugs inhibit initiation?--------- (rifampicin of transcription & streptomycin of translation)
7) What drugs inhibit peptidyl transferase? ---chloramphenicol in prokaryotes & euk. mitochondria; puromycin in both
