Hi guys, it is not a secret that i want to score high(who doesn't) and i have about 27 days for the test. The question is regarding NBME online. When is the best timing?
I have studied a lot but the knowledge is here and there and i don't want to loss confidence if i don't score high in the NBME so which one is better:
1.-Take the NBME now and still have lots of time to study weak areas
2.-Take the NBME when i feel ready but with less time to improve week areas
3.-Planning to take two NBMEs(form 1 and 2) What should be the best timing between them?1 week, 2 weeks?

i was thinking abt taking 2 NBME in one day to check endurance

I took form 1, 3 months before, I was feeling pretty confident, and got 530. Then, I took form 3 , 2 weeks before the test and got only 560. I was very sad, I had studied so much for such a small improvement. Then a friend took form 3 and got an even worse score, she did form 2 the next day and was much better, then she got 96 on the real test.
So, I would go ahead and take any form, except 3, right now, so you may work on your weak areas. It's so difficult to feel "ready"...

don't worry that you won't score high.. you know you will!
i think nbme 1 is too easy, nmbe 3 is the hardest, and nbme 2 (at least in my case) was the closest to my real exam score.
take it today or tomorrow and don't postpond it anymore. i already took nbme for step3 even though my exam is not until another month and a half...
remember that nbme isnt the real thing but do focus and you will do well.
you've studied so much it'll pay off big time. don't worry and just go for it. get it over with. good luck

Arlete is right. nbme 3 is the toughest,
However I wanted to challange myself and so I chose to take nbme 3 for Ck and nbme4 for step1, as "the worst case scenario" thinking I can't score lower than that on the real exam. It worked for me. I do have a bit of a problem with my nbme for step3 score... just a 490 won't do for me- and that sends a message that I have to work much harder and stop slacking off, because after all it's "now or never"

I wud say do the NBME 3 offline not like a test but qs to learn from, u might just surprise urself. The other 2 u can do online then or same way... 2 for the last.... I actually found 3 easiest
