Hi all, hope you all getting done with IVS and success for the match. I was offered a pre-match and advised to apply for H1B visa. Please someone help and tell me which visa is appropriate for my spouce who would wish to work when we get to states but he does not hold any degree. Wish you a wonderful new year Rita Julie

If you are offered (and accept) H1b for your residency, then you don't have options for visa for your spose. Automatically it will be H4 (dependent of H1b) which does not allow any type of work except volunteer.

Hi, thanks for info. One more question? Can my spouse file his own H2B visa in case he had a US employer??? Yes, I have accepted the pre-match and am soon filing for the H1B visa. Thanks for your treasured opinions RitaJulie

sure, once in US and if he finds employer willing to offer that visa.. being in H4 is not an impediment for other future visas.
