A 58 year old man has hyperlipidemia and family history of high blood pressure and myocardial infarctions. B.gemfibrozil.....side effects are myositis and gallstones lovastatin also produces myositis but not gallstones

The correct answer for the question I posted is B (gemfibrozil) . Adverse GI effects frequently occur with gemfibrozil therapy. These effects include abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and cholestasis with jaundice. Less common adverse effects include cholestasis and elevated levels of hepatic enzymes.
