Agree with arizona if the purpose is to evade the questions...if there are more questions I go to location (generally I say I have more interviews on these States or Cities) if they want more specificity then probably as someone suggested 1 program at the same level, and other "better" than that program...
Probably asking a question about the program after saying "a few more" would also be a good idea... or saying/asking something like "I've heard it's getting more competitive..?" and they will probably talk about the thousands and thousands of applications they get....
If I was looking for a prematch then mph has the guru secret answers " Ur program is my dream place to do residency. All other ivs r to play safe if I dont match to ur program." ...excellent hahaha

I had similar experiences as arizona_wave and they were actually making a list of all the hospitals where I got call,either were not confident enough for choosing me for the interview or wanted to know where in competetion do they stand! Truly weired!

wow MPH, thanx a lot for your nice reply...if i get a prematch that way, ill b the happiest person on this planet..but unfortunately i dont think that program offers prematches..And once again thanx a lot evrybody for your advices. gud luck to all
