In an abusive relationship case, when we are trying to convey that beating is against the law, how do we tell the patient this point? I mean how would we frame this question?

I would first start by asking the pt what happend if i see any signs or symptoms of abuse pause let them speak..... If they open up good ...if they hesitate i would say Your not alone, i am here to help you. Is any one a threat to you or your family, at home or anywhere else? Any form of abuse is not acceptable...and is against the law.

By now if the sp dosnt break.... wow.. then atleast i know i got the empathy, the counceling and the support points....
