it is the duration of symptoms.. most prob. TIA <24hours. RIND>24 hours<7days make sure

Both are FOCAL REVERSIBLE lesions (vs. complete stroke which is FOCAL IRREVERSIBLE lesion). It is only the matter of duration of symptoms, but I think that TIA is less than 24 hours, while RIND is between 1 day and 3 weeks. However, some newer opinions about TIA say that it lasts almost always less than an hour (usually up to 15 minutes), and some think RIND shouldn't be considered as a separate entity anymore
