Hi guys , I took my exam on 29 and 31st december Day 1: I had 5 office and 2 ER/inpatient blocks . Office blocks:- --As far as time is concerned these are managable blocks. --Question length is similar to Usmle world. --Difficulty level is similar to usmle world. --25-30% questions were straight forward --30-40% questions could narrow down to 2 choices. --rest of the questions were VAGUE. ER blocks:- --difficult to manage time. --long questions , had to scroll down for full stem. --basically most difficult part of exam. Subjects:- I had lot of obg , ethics(sucks) , psych questions but still mostly medicine was big on exam . ccs:- ccs i did well on 6 cases( i guess) ...all these six cases ended up in 10 min or so ( dont know if its a good sign:confused ...2 were average and in one case i couldnt reach the diagnosis .......now question is do v have to reach to the correct diagnosis in ccs or is it the steps how v manage the cases?? I think usmle world do a good job but the most important is to go through step 2 ck books thoroughly. This 3 week wait is killing me and i am having all kinda egodystonic , unwanted , inappropriate , ego allien thoughts coming in my mind ( using lil bit of humor though ).... Guys i am ready to answer if u have any specific questions regarding the exams and in the mea time please pray for me . Piaget.

Hi PIAGET, I presented mine on 27,28. Honestly I felt overwhelmed by that test, a bit underprepared during many blocks. I hope we both pass. Good luck to you.

Hi,i thanks guys for best wishes... hardhead , i know its tough to wait ......hope v pass bro meducuk , i think step 2 ck ( kaplan notes) is the best source to prepare for this exam ..... i may not be a right person as i didnt get my score as yet but i think usmle world just prepare you how to attempt questions and for theory u have to read kaplan notes. This is my view Piaget

Hi Paget, I took my exam on Dec 21 n 22. I am having same egodystonic , unwanted , inappropriate , ego allien thoughts coming in my mind. I spent long time on CCS cases. thinking more and proceeding slowly. only 2 cases ended before time and all the rest had time up and I had to write in the diagnosis. BUT ALL THE PATIENTS IMPROVED. even one unconcious female was talking and telling her suicide history at the end of the case, so what do you think is it bad since 7 cases didnt end before 20 minutes cos I was kinda slow and cautious in attempting CCS cases.

490 is an excellent NBME score Piaget I'm sure you will at least get around the mid 80's. I have freaked out every time I have waited for a USMLE score and always been OK at the end. This time I just don't have the emotional energy to freak out yet again or maybe I realized that worrying before the score doesn't do us any good. If we failed, worrying just makes the agony 3 weeks longer than what is supposed to be. If we PASSED we have suffered 3 weeks for nothing!....I got a 390 on the NBME 2 weeks before the exam.. It was supposed to be good enough to pass...
