cyclothymia= hypomania+depression
dysthymia= feeling of hopelessness for a long time

dysthymia is mild but stable nonpsychotic depression( fr atleast 2 yrs)
cyclothymia is alternating but mild bipolar illness.
both are chronic conditions.
