If I do a residency in FM and decide to another residency in IM how hard that would be? I got a low score in step-1 although got mid 90 in step-2 all on first attempt. Can you shed some light?

After 3 yers of FM residency I do not think you would want to also do IM residency.

In your practice most of the common things you see as a FM the IM will see it to.
The difference is in inpatients knowledge. That is why IM work as hospitalists.
Now if you are asking of changing from FM to IM after getting into FM, I know people that have change.

I personally would not change residency after I get a spot

Hi,
If you are so passionate in becoming an internist, no one can stop you. Infact, you doing family medicine and than applying for IM, you will be the best pick.
I don't think, your application will become weaker if you do your residency in FM.
I plan to do radiology after IM! Is it hard, definitely NOT.
Good luck.
