55 yr old man ,well controlled htn with THIAZIDE&LISINOPRIL.SMOKER, ALCOHOL.LAST VISIT TO PHYSICIAN 12 YR AGO. b.p.140/80vaccine to be given. ?
a]dip,td booster
b] td booster, influenza
c]td booster, inf, pneumococcal
I FEEL THE ANS C BUT IN UW ANS IS B CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN
INF &PNEU VACC HAVE TO BE GIVEN IRRESPECTIVE OF AGE IF COMORBIDITES PRESENT?

Pneumococcus vaccination

1.-For all above 65

2.-Any age if Sickle cell disease, splenectomy, chronic cardiopulm disorders, diabetes, OH cirrhosis, HIV, chronic renal failure, hematological malignances, immunosuppresive meds and patients with a high risk of fatal infection.

Yes..it is B, but the question is either incomplete or wants us to assume that it is flu shot season..but if it is not given, assume it is theresmiling face
