Hi all,
I was a little late in applying this year for the match. Although I had applied in last week of November, I got my ECFMG certificate only by 2nd week of December.
I was trying to figure out how the post match really works and what all should I do in order to be ready for it. I understand it is a hit or miss thing but can I do anything to help me be ready for the post-match.
Another big question is- Can I apply to all the unfilled positions listed on the nrmp site I am interested in now even if I did not apply for that position in the match? will they accept my application and consider me if I did not apply to that college during the match? I hope thats the way it is because someone told me that during post-match I can only apply to positions I applied to in the match. In that case I am not sure how many colleges I applied to will go unmatched.
hope to find the answers soon.Good luck to all for the remaining exams and the match.

Explaining all this would be a bit long, I suggest you just google 'post match scramble' and there are many sites that would explain the process...

As far as the question at the end, you can apply to programs you didn't apply to during match. You can add upto 30 programs for free during the post match scramble assuming you applied to at least 1 program before it and have all the fees paid...
