All of the following statements about postpartum psychosis are true, EXCEPT 1) it should be treated as a psychiatric emergency. 2) residual symptoms are common. 3) lithium carbonate is useful for manic symptoms. 4) psychotherapy is beneficial after the period of acute psychosis. 5) use of neuroleptics is often necessary.

correction!!! Postpartum psychosis is a psychiatric emergency as there is chance of suicide and infanticide. The correct answer is probably 2
