Yes I do. If I recall correctly you are a resident in vascular surgery? Could you start by giving a short summery of your CV, including board scores, electives, LORs, research exp so to give us a feeling of how much it takes to match? Also, I guess you are a FMG, too? If so, could you also please describe how your electives were, what should you look out for and were you treated differently in a negative way than the rest? In general, where are the pitfalls and what would you do to avoid them.

Thanks a lot in advance.

hi maverick,

i remember you. i was following you last year during the match while i was doing my 2 ck.

i have applied this year and have got 10 iv. i am a FMG with green card scores 99/97/ cs pass. 2 lor from usa surgeons. with some usce.

now 3 programs have told me in the email that they will interview me for prelim spot. 3 prog did not mention cat/prelim and 4 mentioned cat interviews.

so how should i rank them. what i was thinking was to rank even the prelim prog in categorical . what is your advise.

jack of knives -

scores 255/247/cs. 2 electices with 3 LORs. no research. 2 very good LORs though. yeah, a FMG. required visa.

electives were good. no -ve treatment. work hard, try to impress with knowledge base, be prepared before each case. be proactive, ask questons, be confident. am in gen surg
