Hi Fernanda, I think by old graduates they mean people who are out of college for a very long time and were not doing anything related to medical field. I`ve finished medical school in 1999 but I`ve been working since than here in my country. Do you think this way it won`t be a problem being an old graduate?
As long as you get good scores and show some US hospital experience I guess 5yrs should not be that bad. This is what I am thinking. I think usmle scores talk for you. Most of all motivation and zeal to get into residency is important. I`ve been a little disappointed since I`ve seen this problem with old graduates. That`s what is keeping me back...
Anyway when are u taking ur steps.
I`m just getting started with my studies and hopping to find out that I`m not behind because of my age and graduation year. Thank you for your words of wizdom Keep in touch and best wishes, Fernanda
