Hello all,
I'm a IMG preparing for step 1.
Can someone tell me whats the difference between these 2 kaplan options?  Are the lectures and the books any different?

I think the difference is in the location and feasibility. In Webprep you get a concerntrated version of the lectures in a audio format while in the Centre prep you get a place in teh local Kaplan centre and all the lectures and books are made available to you for 30days. I dont know how much time they give for the Webprep as i havent done either of them.
Although i can advise you that if you can get the kaplan books or materials from anyone then find place in a library and lock yourself in it. And you will clear the exam.

Sorry, I meant to write earlier....
Same books for Web Prep as well as for Center Prep (30 visits or full Centerprep)
WebPrep, as NNL said, its online lectures, 80 hours, concentrated version, and I think you get it for 6 mths. In those 6 months, 3 months of Q bank access.
Now if you go with 30 visits, (same books) you can visit the center 30 times in a period of 3 mths to watch 180 hours of lectures (on DVDs).
3 month CenterPrep, double the cost of the 6 months of Web Prep.
-you get 3 months of a Kaplan center access, but get to do 180 hours of lecture
-but for Q bank you have to pay separately

I am just trying to figured out what is best for me to do........I'll let you know what I think once I finish (I did center prep before....so if I choose webPrep I'll know the differences)

If u have done center prep already , depends on ur time u need , u have u can do 1 mo extention or any 3 mo extention [ if exist in ur center ] than 30 days , unless later is all u need , money wise good for u too .
Web prep used to be video live long ago, but someone said is not video live, just audio , with slides , that is possible, since the st 1 center prep come with free online pls has some web prep , that only have audio & slides ... so not worthed like center crispy clear dvd with full lecture ........ as AC said 160 to 170 hr dvd that can do very selective watch in table of content list , used to be 180 hr in video .
Also web prep itself is only 80 hr around .
Usually ppl do center few mo then study then back to center for 1 or few mo for final review there .
