we r painfully investing so much time n energies in USMLE prep and getting residency.my Q is--is there life beyond MLE and residency. can we do something easier---like GRE and do some masters degree.

Yes, you can. But let me tell you, it is not going to pay the same. Plus you will start missing patient if you are like 70% of medicine graduate. I do. If you think you can live without that pt contact, happy with 50K-80L salary, go do PhD, masters etc etc. Best field to me is being a clinical research masters program...
