Well done for all your hard work. I am sure it will pay off. Can I ask your quidance for few questions pls? where can you get the NBME ? How long does it take to do that. I am planning to sit the exam around the 2nd week of June. When do I need to book for it? Also I will finish Kaplan review casettes April. Then I plan to 3 weeks of May reviewing all the subjects @ 10-12 hrs per day. Finally 3 weeks only solving questions.. I have q bank from 2002 & body parts review uestions. should I buy the most recent q bank? NBME ? Thanks in anticipation.

Many thanks for the reply Madeleine & pardon my ignorance. I do however understand exactly what you mean & will follow accordingly wink but can you tell me how do I get the NBME? The site doesnt seem to open...is it www.nbme.org ? Also just doing Kaplan casettes-review course with the notes & 2002 Q bank & the NBME(now) will get me a resonable score above 90s ? M very apprehensive about the next few months till the exams sad

Hi Madeleine:

I am new to USMLE so please help me with this question. You mentioned you used kaplan. I'd like to know whether the edition/year for kaplan notes is important? What is the difference between 2002 and 2003/2004 edition? Thanks!

I used 2002 edition

Hi Madelene!
Congrats! Hope you ace the test! Would you tell me this! Total of how many Qs in NBME? ( in 2 forms 200 each?) After I purchased it how long can i use it? Plz tell me! I am about to buy them! just wanted to know how long can i have it? 1 or 3 month etc....???? Thanks!

You will want to do the NBME questions as two tests, probably take one a month before the test and the other a week before. These are supposed to be the most accurate predictor of your test performance (in relation to the mean) so take them seriously, in proper conditions, with no notes, etc. USe your QBANK and BSS for the notes and whatnot but dont waste the NBME on that. Pay attention to the questions though, like it has been stated, you may see them again.

Hi Madeleine!
I still have Q even you answered the previews one. Would you tell us how did you save your NMBE Qs? You said you stopped at the end of each block and go back before you submit that block. Did you printed the Qs out, or did you write them down? I wanted to know how can I save them? Also how many times can I use a block? Just one time for per purchase? Or total of one month during this time as many times i want? Thank you very much for answering Qs in here! God bless!!!!
