hi everyone....
got my score....99/253.... me sooooooooooo happy
i thank every one in this forum for the support...this forum especially scores thread gave me lot of strength and courage during my preparation
i`m img from india....started prep during my internship.... serious prep was from june 21st.... i read very haphazardly.... read some subjects for 4 times and some 5 times...i did`t follow any time schedule...
mistakes i did
1)reading too much...at the begining i used to read lots of books...l8r realised kaplan is more than enough... seriously guyz...STICK TO KAPLAN....it is more than enough....
2)i started watching dvds during last 3 months of my prep... i feel clubbing dvds with first read is better...
3)the silliest of all---->did not check answers to nbme qs nd one Q was repeated in my exam
i followed goljan for path.... rest all kaplan... did not see web path as i did not have so much time.....
and ppl... plz don`t think exam is easier than uw... the qs i got were much tougher than uw.... they were not about some rare disease or some weird conditions...the qs were about normal stuff but twisted in a very extrordinary way.....
time management was not a big issue... i had 10 min left in all the blocks....sufficient to revise marked Qs....took break aft each block...so i was not at all tired during the exam...
my uw score---->70%(unused,subject wise,timed mood)
nbme-2 ----->245(10 days before exam)
exam date ------>29th nov
score reported on--->19th dec
i saw my score on 20th dec.
i feel this post is more haphazard than my preparation....jut can`t do anything in a systematic way
once again i thank everyone in this forum.....

i'm doing the same as you did,watching dvds with my 2nd reading.don't know how it goes.

Congats for the awesome score.Which goljan book did u do for pathology.For me goljan rapid review is taking a long time.I m scared whether i will be able to revise it

thanx everyone...
@docdoc9 i followed goljan stars review book... it is the only book available in india... atleast in my city....i clubbed the book with audios... helped me remember well...i did goljan audios two times...the second one was just b4 my exam... used to do 1 or 2 audios in a day...so that i won`t get bored...

Do you think Kaplan DVDs help a lot? It's so time consuming. We'd better watch them all or you have some subjects prefered?

@jena99 kaplan dvds are must for bio chem and behavioural.....did not find micro much useful....
i know how boring it is to see those dvds...all the time i ysed to fall asleep in between
