I met a doctor from Asian country in one of my IVs. He got 97/99/passed/89 and received 18 IVs last year but unmatched. Through talking with him, I realized that he has weak communication skill. He spent 1 year for English but improved little. And he did not have any IV practice partner. This year he got 15 IVs. So practice and prepare your IVs with a partner. You will improve a lot for sure. Do not be overconfident about your credentials. You got nothing if you perform your IVs badly. Good luck.

True, your scores can only get you an interview.... The rest is up to you... There are a lot of super smart people with terrible personalities, and there are people with average scores with great personalities... They are trying to see at your interview if you would fit in well at their program, if you are a team player, if you work well with others, how you function in a stressful situation, how you deal with arguments with co-workers, etc...All these things have to do with the person you are, not about what scores you got on your exams. Go over questions like: Tell me about yourself...What are your strengths/weaknesses? What are your hobbies? Why do you like this specialty? When things go wrong, how do you deal with it? Are you more detail oriented or do you see the big picture? If you had a disagreement with a nurse/attending, how would you deal with it? Which type of patient is the most difficult to deal with and how would you handle such a person? If you could not practice medicine what would you do? Where are you from/could you adapt well here (asked if where you are from is different from where you are interviewing -eg. urban/rural, etc... The above are some things i got asked... Please add any other interview questions you got. Thanks.
