They aint asking 4 features of SARCOIDOSIS. They just asked for the features of a non-caseating granuloma!

the question i feel is in context of sarcoidosis. what histo. features are supportive of granulomas in sarcoidosis.

Just a reminder to everyone

Definition of Granuloma = Focal collections of epithelioid macrophages that are surrounded by a collar of mononuclear leukocytes,principally lymphocytes and occasional plasma cell. These Epithelioid cells coalesce to form Multinucleated Giant Cells.

and caseating and noncaseating is just the morphological difference of appearance of one being cheesy like and other not?????????

I was also under the notion that it must be Giant cells for the diagnoses of Granuloma.

Ahan see Robbins left out the essential point that for a granuloma to be identified u dont need to have a multinucleated cell presence all u need is the prototype cell.

yeah somewhat like that like TB has both caseating and non caseating granulomas.
